The best way to work through this is our three step process:

  1. Information Download – work through the plan quickly answering only questions you feel comfortable with. At each prompt just put down all the information you can think of – don’t worry about formats, spelling etc. You can fix that later.  You want to get on paper everything in you brain about the specific topic.  At this point nothing is right or wrong it is simply information.
  2. Components of the Plan - there are some components you should address in your plan, they are:
    1. Human Resource Information - employment created is an important factor for us if you are requesting a loan.
    2. Employments Standards - be sure to check out www.hrsdc.gc.ca to find information about government regulations this way you can address the issues in your plan.  Areas of major concern would be:
      1. Ontario Health and Safety
  3. Fine Tune – now go back and look at the questions you didn’t answer, this may require a little research on your part. Make your best attempt to answer the question. Just remember not every question must be answered as they may not apply to your business.
  4. As you work through your plan should you run into difficulties email your problem to your consultant and they can review our plan on line and type a message right into your plan for you.  Make sure you tell them what section you are having a problem with.
